Legend was born and trained at Wildrose Oxford. As a third Generation progeny, Legend is a true Wildrose Heritage Dog. His sire is Deke of Ducks Unlimited and his grand-sire is FTCh Gusty Garry “Kane” who also qualified for the 2005 IGL Championship in the UK. Kane offspring have a long history of amazing dogs that truly embody the traits of the Gentleman’s Gundog.

Legend was backgrounded by Wildrose office assistant Mindy Ladner and trained by Tom Smith. He has hunted wild pheasants in North Dakota, quail in Mississippi and Arkansas, and picked up at several tower shoots in the Southeast.

He will be working on his Adventure Dog merits over the coming year with the goal of becoming a Master Trekker (MT).  

Legend is a stylish British Labrador with a strong desire to please. He responds well to the whistle for handling which coupled with his amazing game finding ability makes for a fine versatile retriever plus his temperament and athletic ability combine to make him a perfect adventure companion.
